Hey everyone! I’ve set up a Zapier workflow to automate my Instagram posts, and it’s working great… almost. The only hiccup is that it keeps asking for my approval before each post. This means I can’t just let it run overnight or when I’m away from my computer.
Does anyone know how to tweak the Zapier settings so it stops asking for approval every time? I’m looking for a way to make it fully automatic, where it just posts without me having to manually okay each one.
I’ve tried looking through the Zapier settings, but I can’t seem to find the right option. Any tips or tricks would be super helpful! Thanks in advance for your help!
I’ve been using Zapier for Instagram automation for a while now, and I ran into the same issue initially. What worked for me was diving into the specific Instagram action step within my Zap. There’s a setting called ‘Publish post immediately’ or something similar - make sure that’s enabled.
Another thing to check is your Instagram account type. Personal accounts often have more restrictions than business ones. If you’re using a personal account, consider switching to a business account for more automation flexibility.
Also, keep in mind that Instagram’s API can be finicky. Sometimes, what worked yesterday might not work today due to changes on their end. If you’re still stuck, I’d recommend reaching out to Zapier’s support team. They’ve been surprisingly helpful in troubleshooting these kinds of issues in my experience.
Lastly, while automation is great, don’t forget to engage with your audience manually from time to time. It helps maintain that personal touch that followers appreciate.
I’ve encountered this issue before, and there’s a workaround that might help. In Zapier, look for the ‘Action’ step where Instagram posting is configured. There should be an option called ‘Should the post be published immediately?’ or something similar. Make sure this is set to ‘Yes’ or ‘True’.
If that doesn’t solve it, you might need to re-authenticate your Instagram account in Zapier. Sometimes, permission issues can cause the need for manual approval. Go to the Instagram app in your Zapier account, disconnect it, and then reconnect, ensuring you grant all necessary permissions.
Lastly, double-check your Instagram API settings. Certain API limitations might be triggering the approval requests. If all else fails, consider reaching out to Zapier support. They’re usually quite helpful with these technical hiccups.
hey mandy, i’ve had similar issues. have u checked the zap editor? there’s usually a toggle for ‘auto-publish’ or ‘skip review’ somewhere in the instagram action step. if not there, try updating ur zap - sometimes older versions don’t have all the options. good luck!
