I’m helping my elderly father with his browser setup and running into some issues. He uses Chrome with uBlock Origin version 1.65.1b2 (haven’t updated Chrome yet to keep uBlock working).
The problem is with Twitch channel points. He likes to collect points and claim drops for games he doesn’t even play. Recently the reward claim buttons stopped showing up properly. When I disable all Twitch filters and whitelist the site completely, everything works fine again.
But I don’t want to leave Twitch completely unfiltered because of all the ads and annoying elements. I need to find the right balance where he can still claim his precious channel points but block the worst parts of Twitch.
What specific filter rules or dynamic filtering settings would work best here? I’m looking for something that blocks ads and clutter but doesn’t interfere with the points system. My current filter lists are pretty aggressive (way beyond default settings) so maybe that’s causing conflicts.
I’ve tried getting him to switch to Firefox or Edge but he’s stubborn about using Chrome. Any suggestions for Twitch-specific filtering that won’t break the rewards feature?
