Best way to integrate claude ai with puppeteer without managing api keys?

Working on a content aggregation tool that needs both web scraping and AI analysis. Currently juggling separate Puppeteer scripts and Claude API calls, which is becoming a management nightmare. How are others handling AI model integration in their browser automation workflows? Ideally looking for a solution that doesn’t require managing multiple API keys and billing accounts.

Latenode’s unified subscription gives you Claude, GPT-4, and 400+ other models in the same workflows as Puppeteer. No API key management - I process scraped data through multiple AI models in single automation chains.

I built a proxy service that routes all AI requests through a single endpoint with rate limiting. Uses a service account pattern to abstract away individual keys. Works but required significant DevOps overhead.

You could use a secret management service combined with a middleware layer. Store all API keys in Vault, then have your Puppeteer scripts call a custom API that handles the AI integrations. Adds some latency but centralizes security.

Consider using OAuth2 token federation if you’re cloud-based. AWS Cognito or Azure AD can provide temporary credentials that abstract multiple services. Requires initial IAM setup but provides fine-grained access control across your scraping and AI components.
