Hi folks! I’m trying to decide on the best automation tool for my business workflows. Right now I’m torn between Make.com and Zapier for connecting different apps and automating repetitive tasks. Both seem pretty capable but I want to hear from other business owners who actually use these tools daily. What has your experience been like? Which platform do you think offers better value for the money? I’m especially interested in hearing about ease of use, reliability, and pricing from people who have tried both. Any insights would be super helpful as I’m looking to implement this soon for my team’s workflow optimization.
Been using Make.com for 18 months after ditching Zapier. What sold me was the visual workflow builder - troubleshooting complex automations is way easier when you can see data flowing between steps. With Zapier I was always guessing where stuff broke. Make’s pricing also works better for high volume since we run tons of operations monthly. Steeper learning curve upfront, but you can build way more sophisticated workflows once you get it. Only downside - some popular apps still integrate better with Zapier. Check if your main tools work well with Make before switching.
Switched from Zapier to Make.com 8 months ago - wish we’d done it sooner. Main reason? Cost. Our Zapier bill was getting insane as we scaled up, and Make’s pricing actually makes sense for higher volumes. The interface is weird at first, but the control you get is amazing. Complex conditional stuff that’d need multiple Zaps? One scenario in Make handles it. Their support is way faster too. But honestly, if you’re not tech-savvy or just need basic trigger-action stuff, Zapier’s probably less of a headache to start with.
depends on your team size and tech skills. we’ve used zapier for 2+ years because it keeps our non-tech staff happy. tried make briefly but spent too much time on setup instead of actual work. zapier works out of the box for most things we need. yeah, it costs more, but the premium’s worth avoiding headaches when you’ve got deadlines.
