Calendly appointment scheduling not converting well - am I missing something?

I work with several healthcare clients including therapists and physiotherapy practices. Most of them wanted to use Calendly or similar booking tools as their primary conversion goal on their websites.

I figured it was worth testing since so many clients requested it. But honestly the results have been pretty disappointing across the board. None of the new healthcare clients are getting good booking rates through their Calendly widgets. Even my existing client who switched to this approach is seeing worse performance than before.

Has anyone else had success with appointment booking tools as the main CTA? Maybe there are some optimization tricks I am not aware of. Or should I just recommend going back to traditional contact forms and phone calls instead? Would love to hear what has worked for others in similar industries.

healthcare’s tricky, right? a lot of clients might prefer chatting before booking. maybe try adding a ‘fast call’ option next to the calendly link? it could help ease their minds!
