Hey everyone! I’m trying to set up a Discord server for my gaming group and running into some problems with adding the campfire integration bot.
I went through all the setup steps from the official guide but the bot just doesn’t appear in my app directory like it’s supposed to. I’ve double checked everything multiple times but still no luck.
The bot should show up automatically after following the authorization process but mine just stays empty. I’m wondering if there’s a waiting period or if I missed some configuration step.
Has anyone successfully added this bot recently? Maybe there’s a common mistake I’m making or the process has changed? Any help would be really appreciated since my group is excited to get this working.
Had the same problem two months ago. Discord’s weird about refreshing bot permissions - sometimes it just doesn’t stick. Here’s what fixed it for me: kick the bot completely, clear your browser cache, then start over. Make sure you’re logged into the Discord account that has admin rights the entire time. I’ve seen bots look like they authorized fine but still missing permissions because of session weirdness. Once I did it with a clean browser session, campfire showed up in minutes. Try a complete restart if you haven’t already.

discord’s been having auth problems with third-party bots recently - probably not your fault. try a different browser or the mobile app for setup. fixed it for me last week when desktop wouldn’t work. also check if your server hit the bot limit (250) since it’ll block new ones without telling you.
