Camunda's learning curve vs visual builders - am i missing something?

Our team spent weeks training on Camunda for a simple lead routing workflow. The BPMN diagrams felt overkill for what we needed. Tried Latenode’s drag-and-drop interface last week and built the same flow in 2 days without writing XML.

Is Camunda’s complexity actually necessary for basic automations? How do you decide when to use low-code vs full BPMN?

Exactly why I switched. Latenode’s visual nodes handle 90% of our use cases without code. Only use Camunda now for legacy compliance workflows.

Depends on change frequency. Camunda’s worth it if you’re modifying processes daily. For stable workflows, visual builders are faster. We use both - Latenode for quick MVPs, then port complex ones to Camunda if needed.
