Hey everyone! I just heard about this cool project where they’re trying to get 10 AI agents to write a book all by themselves. It’s got me wondering how that would even work. Like, how do the AIs communicate? Do they each have different roles? And what kind of book would they end up writing? I’m really curious to hear what you all think about this. Has anyone heard of similar projects or have any ideas on how this could turn out? It seems like such a wild concept to me!
wow that sounds wild! i’ve heard of ai writing stories but a whole book?? crazy. wonder if they’d fight over the plot lol. maybe one ai could do characters, another dialogue, etc. but would it be any good? ai still struggles with creativity imo. cool experiment tho!
As someone who’s been following AI developments closely, I can say this concept isn’t as far-fetched as it might seem. I actually participated in a similar experiment last year, albeit on a smaller scale. We had three AI models collaborating on a short story, and the results were surprisingly coherent.
The key, from my experience, lies in how the AI agents are structured and trained. Each needs a specific role - perhaps one for plot development, another for character arcs, and so on. The real challenge is in the coordination between these agents.
That said, I’m skeptical about the final product’s quality. While AI can produce technically sound writing, it often lacks the nuanced emotional depth that human authors bring. It’ll be fascinating to see how this project tackles that hurdle.
I’m particularly interested in how they’ll handle creative disagreements between the AI agents. In our experiment, we had to implement a voting system for plot decisions. I wonder if they’ll use something similar or have a more sophisticated approach.
