I’m trying to connect my HoneyBook calendar to Zapier so I get notified when someone books a specific type of session. Looking at the available HoneyBook triggers in Zapier, I can see these options:
- Client created
- New inquiry
- New payment paid
- New project booked
- Project stage changed
I tried making a test appointment booking through one of my session calendars, but when I check the trigger test data in Zapier, my test booking doesn’t appear in any of these trigger options. Has anyone managed to get calendar bookings to work with Zapier triggers, or am I missing something in the setup? Would really appreciate any guidance on this.
HoneyBook calendar bookings don’t show up in the standard Zapier triggers you’re seeing. You need to use the “New project booked” trigger instead, but here’s what you’re probably missing. When someone books through your calendar, HoneyBook creates a project - but that project needs the service type configured properly. I had this exact problem. The booking only triggers your Zapier automation if your calendar is set to automatically create a project with the specific service type attached. Go check your calendar settings in HoneyBook and make sure your booking form assigns the right service type. Once I fixed that, the “New project booked” trigger started catching all my calendar bookings. You might also want to add a Zapier filter for your specific service type.
i had the same issue not long ago. honeybook can take a bit to create projects from bookings. give it like 10-15 mins and then see if the zapier triggers show up. plus, make sure ur calendar integration is active! i once paused mine and it was a mess!
This sounds like a HoneyBook automation issue, not Zapier. Calendar bookings only trigger Zapier when HoneyBook automatically converts them into projects. Check if you’ve got a workflow that creates a project when someone books your calendar. Without this step, the booking just sits in your calendar and Zapier can’t see it. I struggled with this for weeks before realizing my automation was turned off. Also make sure your service types match up between HoneyBook and your calendar - if they don’t, project creation fails silently.
