Cannot add image signature in my Gmail account while other accounts work fine

I’m having a weird problem with my Gmail account. When I try to create an email signature with an image, I don’t see any option to add pictures or images. The strange thing is that when I log into other Gmail accounts, those accounts have the image option available in the signature settings.

I’ve checked my account settings multiple times but can’t figure out what’s different about my account. The signature editor only shows text formatting options but no image upload button or insert image option.

Has anyone else experienced this issue where one Gmail account is missing the image signature feature while other accounts work normally? What could be causing this difference and how can I fix it?

check if ur stuck on the old gmail interface - sometimes switching accounts leaves u on different versions, and the old one’s missing signature features. go to settings > see all settings and look for ‘try the new gmail,’ or just refresh the page completely after switching accounts.

I had this exact same problem and it drove me crazy. Turns out Gmail blocks image signatures on newer accounts or ones without much activity - it’s their way of fighting spam. My account was pretty new compared to my other ones where image signatures worked fine. After about three months of regular use, the restriction disappeared. Make sure your account’s fully verified too, since that can mess with what features you get. There’s no quick workaround unfortunately, but staying active with your email should fix it.

Same thing happened to me with a work Gmail through Google Workspace. The admin had disabled image signatures in the console settings. Even though it looked like regular Gmail, the company policies were blocking signature features. Check if your account’s tied to any organization or was created through a company domain. Try Gmail in incognito mode or a different browser to rule out cached settings. Sometimes clearing your browser data for Gmail brings back missing interface elements.
