Content creator discusses Twitch removing archived streams without issuing account suspensions

I came across some discussion where a content creator was explaining how Twitch sometimes just removes VODs (video on demand recordings) from channels rather than going through their usual punishment system of temporary or permanent bans. This seems like a different approach compared to their standard moderation practices. Has anyone else noticed this happening? I’m curious about when Twitch decides to simply delete content versus taking action against the actual channel or streamer account. It makes me wonder if this is becoming a more common way for them to handle certain types of violations or if it’s just for specific situations. Does anyone have experience with this or know more about how Twitch makes these decisions between content removal and account penalties?

totally agree! its like they wanna avoid the big fuss that comes with bans. just removing a vod silently gets the job done without the backlash. small streamers definitely get caught in this more often, and it sucks for them.
