I’m having trouble using Twitch on Internet Explorer 11. I just set up a new Windows 10 computer and when I go to Twitch.tv, the main video player area doesn’t work right when I try to change between different streams. The whole interface gets messed up and broken looking. I expected IE11 to handle modern websites better than this. Has anyone else run into similar problems with Twitch on Internet Explorer? I thought Microsoft had improved IE to work with more streaming sites. Should I be using a different browser instead, or is there some setting I need to change to make Twitch work properly in IE11?
Twitch dropped IE support years ago - that’s why you’re having interface problems. The platform uses modern web tech that IE11 just can’t handle, despite Microsoft’s updates over the years. I ran into the same issues trying to use IE11 for streaming. Videos would freeze, chat wouldn’t load, and everything felt broken. Twitch only optimizes for Chrome, Firefox, and the new Edge. You’ll save yourself a headache by switching to one of those instead of fighting with IE11 on a site that doesn’t support it anymore.
