I’m running a WordPress site with WooCommerce and I’ve hit a major problem. Since about 48 hours ago, no emails are being delivered from my online store at all. This includes everything - order confirmations aren’t going out to customers, cancellation notices aren’t working, people aren’t getting their purchase receipts, my contact form submissions aren’t coming through, and even newsletter subscriptions have stopped sending confirmation emails. The whole email system just died suddenly and I can’t figure out what went wrong. Has anyone else experienced this kind of complete email failure? I’m not sure if it’s a plugin conflict, server issue, or something else entirely. Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting would be really helpful.
check your php mail logs first - your servers mail function probably got disabled or u hit a sending limit. ive seen this when hosting providers crack down on spam. also check if ur domains mx records are configured right, dns changes can break everything overnight.
I encountered a similar issue recently, where no emails were being sent from my WooCommerce site. After checking, I found that my hosting provider had modified the SMTP settings without notifying me. It’s advisable to first contact your hosting support to confirm if any changes were made to their mail servers. Additionally, consider using a plugin like WP Mail SMTP; it helps ensure emails are sent reliably through more robust services like Gmail or SendGrid. Lastly, conduct a test email from the WordPress admin to pinpoint any errors in the email process.
