I keep getting a weird error when I try to make requests to the ChatGPT API using Python. I copied some basic code to test it out but it throws an error about Queue initialization.

I already tried updating my Python version and also updated the openai package, urllib3, and requests library to the latest versions. Everything seems to be up to date but the error still happens. Anyone know what might be causing this issue?

same thing happened to me - it’s a threading conflict between old openai code and newer python versions. either downgrade to openai==0.28.1 to keep that syntax, or switch to the new client approach like others said.
