I’m having major issues with the new Gemini AI integration in Google Sheets. Here’s what happened - I put a company name in cell A1, then tried to use Gemini in cell B1 to lookup the CEO’s name. Every time I refresh the formula, I get completely different answers. First attempt gave me one name, second try showed a totally different person, third time returned yet another result, and the fourth attempt just said it couldn’t find any names at all. This level of inconsistency makes the feature basically useless for any real work. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with Gemini’s reliability in Sheets? I expected much better accuracy from Google’s AI tools.
yeah, same issue here. gemini has zero memory between sessions. i was pulling market cap data and got completely different numbers each time - first it said 50b, then 120b for the same company after refreshing. it’s grabbing info from random sources without verifying anything. hopefully they fix this mess soon bc it’s really annoying right now.
Same exact issue here with Gemini in Sheets. Each query acts like it’s the first time, no consistency checks whatsoever. CEO info changes all the time, and Gemini grabs outdated sources or mixes up subsidiaries with parent companies. I started manually checking everything against LinkedIn or company websites before trusting any results. For executive names or anything business-critical, I just use Gemini as a starting point now. It’s decent for static stuff like founding dates or HQ locations, but current personnel data? Totally unreliable.
