How can Fiverr survive in the era of AI-powered coding?

I’ve been wondering about the future of freelance platforms like Fiverr in a world where AI is getting better at coding. It seems like these companies might struggle to keep their value when AI becomes more common.

I’m not a coder but I made a simple program to scan Reddit comments in just an hour. It was only 250 lines and I did it for free. This makes me think that AI could replace a lot of the work that people hire freelancers for on Fiverr.

Does anyone have thoughts on this? I’m considering betting against Fiverr and similar companies by buying put options. I’ve already bought some for Fiverr, Appian, and a few consulting firms.

I’m really curious to hear what others think about this. Will AI make these kinds of platforms less valuable? Or am I missing something important about how these businesses work?

Thanks for any input!

maybe fiverr will slim down to a more curated crowd, focusing on those creative skills ai still can’t handle. sure, basic coding might get automated, but there’s demand for soulful projects that require human touch. still a gamble, but diversification might keep them afloat.
