Hey everyone! I’m new to streaming and could use some advice. I’ve been at it for about a month now, playing PS5 games on Twitch and TikTok. My channel’s pretty quiet most of the time. I got into this because I love gaming and can’t do my old job anymore due to a back injury.
Today was weird. After hours of silence, someone finally chatted. But when I said I didn’t need help with logos or Discord, they cursed at me and left. Is this normal?
I’m trying to grow my channel. I’ve got good gear, a nice logo, and I’m active in other streams. Any tips on dealing with trolls or getting more viewers? Thanks!
I’ve been streaming for a couple years now, and I can tell you that rude behavior isn’t uncommon, especially for newer channels. It’s frustrating, but try not to take it personally. These people are just looking for a reaction.
My advice? Focus on building a positive community. Engage with the genuine viewers who do show up, even if it’s just a few. Over time, you’ll attract like-minded folks who appreciate your content. Don’t be afraid to use that ban hammer if someone’s being disruptive.
As for growth, consistency is key. Set a schedule and stick to it. And don’t get discouraged by low viewer counts early on - it takes time. Keep doing what you love, and the right audience will find you eventually. Hang in there!
