I’m running a Shopify app with subscription billing and everything works fine normally. But I want to give some customers a free trial month as a reward when they help improve my app with good feedback.
Right now I can only think of canceling their current subscription, making a new $0 charge, and then switching back to paid after 30 days. This seems messy because users probably have to approve each new charge I create.
Does anyone know a cleaner way to handle this? Maybe there’s an API method I’m missing that lets you pause billing temporarily?
