I’m experiencing a strange issue with HubSpot that occurs every time I try to change emails for my client. Here’s what happens:
When I go to an email to modify only the internal title (not the email content, just for organization), after I make the change and press update, HubSpot takes me to a new screen. There, I see my modified email title switch to an email address associated with the account.
This means I have to copy the original title before making the update to paste it back later. It’s quite frustrating and disrupts my workflow.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there something I should be adjusting, or is this just the way HubSpot functions?
sounds like a hubspot glitch. ive seen this happen when u switch between email types too fast. try refreshing right after updating the title but b4 saving - that usually stops the weird redirect. also, dont accidentally click the sender field while editing. that’ll trigger the email override.
I’ve hit this exact bug in HubSpot’s email sequences. Here’s what’s happening: when you change the internal title, HubSpot refreshes the email’s metadata and temporarily shows your sender email as a placeholder. It’s basically a sync issue between the frontend and backend. Here’s the fix that works for me: change the title, then immediately leave the email editor - don’t wait for that redirect screen to finish loading. Go back to your email list, reopen the email, and the title should stick. I’ve used this workaround for other HubSpot interface glitches and it’s pretty reliable.
I’ve hit this exact issue with HubSpot before. Usually happens when I have too many HubSpot tabs open or I’m juggling multiple emails at once. Clear your browser cache and cookies for HubSpot, then log back in. Also try an incognito window to see if it still happens. HubSpot’s interface gets wonky with multiple sessions or cached data conflicts. If clearing cache doesn’t fix it, check your browser extensions - some mess with HubSpot’s JavaScript. Since it’s happening consistently, it’s probably something on your end rather than a random bug.
This happens when HubSpot gets confused about which email template you’re editing vs. the actual email. I see it more with emails created from templates or cloned campaigns - the system defaults back to showing the sender address instead of your custom title. Try editing the title from the main email dashboard instead of inside the email editor. Also, double-check you’re not editing a sent email copy by mistake. If it keeps happening, submit a support ticket since this isn’t normal, and they can check for permission issues on your account.
