I just saw some leaked images showing Figma might be working on a full-blown app builder. It looks like they’re trying to compete with no-code tools like Webflow and Framer now.
The screenshots show you can design responsive layouts, use pre-made components, and add interactions. Then you can publish your app with one click. There’s also talk of an AI-powered app maker that can use text, Figma files, or images as input.
What do you all think about this? It’s a pretty big move for Figma. They’re going head-to-head with tools that already let you import Figma designs.
I’m wondering about a few things:
- How much control will we have over exporting our creations?
- Will we have to host everything on Figma?
- Is this going to be part of current plans or cost extra?
Figma’s been raising prices lately, so I’m not sure if they’ll offer anything cheaper than other no-code options out there.
It’s interesting to see Figma expand beyond just being a design tool. What are your thoughts on this potential new direction?
