I’ve been examining some recent APK files and found something intriguing. It looks like Google Calendar may be taking on features from the Tasks app. Has anyone else noticed this trend?
From my analysis of the code, new integrations suggest that task management features are being incorporated directly into the calendar rather than remaining a separate app.
My questions are:
- Are they going to phase out the standalone Tasks app?
- Will all task functionalities move to Calendar for good?
- Has Google provided any updates on this situation?
I’m interested to know if other developers have picked up on similar trends with the recent updates. The integration appears quite extensive from a technical perspective, but there hasn’t been much conversation about it in the community so far.
