Is there an AI-powered automation builder in Make similar to Zapier's new feature?

Hey everyone,

I just found out about this cool new thing Zapier launched called ‘Zapier AI’. It lets you describe what you want to build, and it creates the automation for you. Pretty neat, right?

I’m wondering if Make (the other automation platform) has rolled out anything like this. I’ve been using Zapier for a while, but it’s getting a bit pricey for me. I’m thinking about jumping ship to Make if they have a similar feature.

Has anyone here used Make recently? Do they offer an AI-powered workflow builder or something close to it? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any insider info you might have.

Also, if you’ve switched from Zapier to Make, was it worth it? Did you save money without losing functionality? Any insights would be super helpful as I’m trying to decide what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve been using Make (formerly Integromat) for about a year now, and while they don’t have an AI-powered automation builder like Zapier’s new feature, I’ve found their platform to be incredibly powerful and flexible. The visual workflow builder in Make is intuitive and allows for complex scenarios that I couldn’t easily create in Zapier.

In terms of cost-effectiveness, Make has been a game-changer for me. Their pricing model is based on operations rather than tasks, which means I can run more automations for less money. I was able to recreate all my Zapier workflows in Make and even expand on them, all while reducing my monthly costs by about 40%.

The learning curve was a bit steeper than Zapier, but the community forums and documentation are excellent. Once you get the hang of it, you can create some really sophisticated automations. While it may not have AI-powered creation (yet), the ability to fine-tune every aspect of your workflows more than makes up for it in my experience.

As a long-time Make user, I can confirm they don’t currently offer an AI-powered automation builder like Zapier’s new feature. However, Make’s strength lies in its robust visual interface and extensive customization options. While there’s no AI to build workflows for you, the platform’s flexibility often allows for more complex automations than Zapier. Regarding cost, Make’s operation-based pricing model can indeed be more economical, especially for users with high-volume needs. I’ve found that I can run significantly more operations on Make for the same price as my old Zapier plan. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve, but the payoff in terms of automation capabilities is substantial. If you’re willing to invest some time in learning the platform, Make can offer excellent value and powerful functionality, even without AI-assisted workflow creation.

hey there! i’ve been using make for a few months now and it’s pretty sweet. no AI builder yet, but the visual interface is super intuitive. i switched from zapier and saved a ton. the learning curve is a bit steep, but totally worth it. you can do way more complex stuff on make for less $$. give it a shot, you might be surprised how much you can do without the AI helper!
