When operating within Greenhopper’s Task Board, clicking the settings icon on a parent task triggers a pop-up designed for creating new sub-tasks or sub-features. Is there a configuration option that allows you to customize which fields are displayed in this creation interface?
i dont think its configurable. i sometimes wish i had that option but its not a supported feature inside greenhoper. you might try some hackey workarounds but the default settings are pretty limited.
Based on my own experimentation with Greenhopper, I have determined that the out-of-the-box interface does not allow for customization of the sub-task creation panel. Instead of directly modifying the panel, I have found that reconfiguring Jira’s workflow screens may serve as a viable workaround. This approach leverages the inherent flexibility of Jira’s screen schemes and field configurations, thereby reducing the risk of compatibility issues during upgrades. Although it requires a shift in approach, incorporating additional fields through workflow customization has proven more stable compared to attempting unsupported tweaks in Greenhopper.
