Looking for affordable SMTP service for multiple domains

Hey folks,

I’m running multiple web applications across different domains and need to find a cost-effective SMTP provider for sending registration confirmation emails (like [email protected]). Here’s what I need:

  • Send-only functionality (don’t need inbox or email storage)
  • Good free plan or cheap pricing. I send around 100 messages daily.
  • No extra features (marketing automation, file storage, etc.)
  • Multiple domain support within one main account

I’ve already tested:

  • Mailgun – great interface but only trial period, then requires payment.
  • AWS SES, Mailchimp, etc. – too many unnecessary features and complex pricing.
  • SMTP2GO – needs business account verification.
  • Resend – good documentation and free option, but limited to single domain per account. Pro plan costs 20 euros for 10 domains

Anyone have suggestions for an SMTP service that allows connecting multiple domains to one personal account without breaking the bank?

Appreciate any recommendations!

Have you considered Postmark? They offer excellent deliverability and their free tier includes 100 emails per month which might be cutting it close for your daily volume, but their paid plans start at just $10/month for 10,000 emails. What makes them particularly good for your use case is that you can add unlimited domains to a single account without any additional domain fees. I switched to them after having delivery issues with cheaper providers and the difference in inbox placement was noticeable. Their interface is focused purely on transactional emails so no marketing clutter to deal with. Setup is straightforward with DKIM and SPF records, and they provide both SMTP and API options. The documentation is solid and their support actually responds quickly when needed. Been running 8 different domains through one account for about a year now without any problems.

check out Brevo (formerly sendinblue) - their free plan does 300 emails/day which is way more than you need and supports multiple domains on one account. been using it for 2+ years across 6 domains without issues. much simpler than aws ses and no business verification needed like smtp2go

I’ve been using SendGrid for a similar setup and it might work well for your needs. Their free tier gives you 100 emails per day permanently, which matches your volume perfectly. You can authenticate multiple sending domains under one account without needing separate accounts for each domain. The setup process is straightforward - just add your domains through DNS verification and you’re good to go. I’ve had mine running for about 18 months now across 4 different domains without any issues. The API is simple if you need programmatic sending, and they also provide standard SMTP credentials. One thing to note is that they do have additional features available, but you can completely ignore them if you only need basic transactional emails. The dashboard is clean enough that the extra stuff doesn’t get in the way of basic sending functionality.
