Looking for HubSpot email marketing replacement - what are you using in 2025?

Our team has been running email campaigns through HubSpot but we need to find something different before our contract ends this fall. We’re looking for a platform that can manage tons of subscribers, has solid automation features, and connects well with CRM systems. Budget is definitely a concern since HubSpot got pretty expensive.

I’ve been doing research and keep seeing ActiveCampaign mentioned everywhere. People say it has:

  • Really good workflow automation
  • CRM features included
  • Good integration options with Zapier and similar tools
  • Handles large email lists without issues

I also looked into other options like Mailchimp, Sendinblue, Zoho Campaigns, and some enterprise solutions. Sendinblue caught my attention because of their contact pricing model, and Zoho seems like it could work well for smaller budgets.

My main questions:
Anyone here made the jump from HubSpot recently? What did you end up choosing and how’s it working out?

Also curious about any AI-enhanced email platforms that might be worth checking out. Are there newer tools with smart features that I should add to my comparison list?

Thanks for any insights or recommendations you can share!

switched from hubspot to mailerlite last year and honestly been pretty happy with it. way cheaper than hubspot but still has decent automation features. the interface is cleaner too, in my opinion. only downside is the crm integration isn’t as smooth, but we work around it.

We switched from HubSpot to ActiveCampaign 8 months ago and it’s been solid. The automation workflows are genuinely powerful - maybe more flexible than HubSpot in some ways. Learning curve wasn’t bad either, which was a relief. Their support is slower than HubSpot’s, but the platform’s reliable. The CRM covers most of what we need for lead tracking, though it’s definitely more basic than HubSpot’s full suite. They’ve been rolling out predictive sending and content optimization tools that look promising. Haven’t fully tested them yet but they’re there if you want to experiment. The cost savings made the switch worthwhile for us.
