We’re currently paying for OpenAI, Anthropic, and three other AI model vendors separately. Each one has their own billing cycle, different pricing structures, and we’re constantly trying to figure out which model to use for which task based on cost per token.
I’ve been looking at consolidating into a single subscription that covers 400+ models, but I need to understand what the actual financial picture looks like. Right now, I’m doing rough math on what we spend monthly across all five vendors, but I can’t get a clear view of whether we’d actually save money or just trade payment headaches for something simpler.
The licensing complexity alone is costing us time—someone has to manage five different portals, track overage charges on each, and make sure we’re not hitting limits that spike costs unexpectedly.
Has anyone actually made this transition and can break down what your costs looked like before and after? I’m trying to figure out if the simplification benefit is the main win or if there’s real financial savings on top of that.
