Mi método para encontrar trabajos bien pagados en LinkedIn
Hola a todos! Quería compartir mi estrategia que he estado usando para buscar trabajos remotos de 10k USD o más.
Mi proceso paso a paso:
Paso 1: Me conecto con muchos reclutadores en LinkedIn (alrededor de 2000)
Paso 2: Cuando encuentro reclutadores que publican buenos trabajos (sin intermediarios, remotos, pagados en dólares), activo las notificaciones para sus posts
Paso 3: Si tienen página propia, la guardo en favoritos y la dejo abierta en Chrome. Reviso estas páginas varias veces cada día porque es mejor aplicar temprano
Paso 4: Limpio constantemente mi lista. Si un reclutador empieza a publicar trabajos que no me sirven, dejo de seguirlo
Paso 5: Uso las búsquedas de LinkedIn Jobs y activo alertas automáticas. También hago lo mismo en Glassdoor
Paso 6: Mi filosofía es recibir muchas ofertas y después filtrar, eliminando fuentes que no me dan buenos resultados
Resultados hasta ahora:
En dos meses conseguí 3 entrevistas por semana, para roles senior y team lead, con salarios entre 7k y 15k USD. He avanzado en varios procesos pero algunos me filtran en los desafíos técnicos.

referrals r the game changer ur missing. cold applications r brutal no matter when u send them. i started asking ppl i knew for intros to their networks - way better success rate than applying blind. check out angel.co and yc’s job boards too. less crowded than linkedIn and those companies actually want remote workers. took me 4 months but landed a $12k role doing this.

Your biggest mistake? Treating all remote jobs the same. I wasted months sending generic applications that went nowhere. European companies crawl through hiring but give you actual work-life balance. US startups want answers yesterday but pay way more. Latin American companies hiring globally are usually budget-conscious with less competition. I split my strategy by location and company size. US companies get my rapid delivery pitch with hard metrics. European firms hear about process improvements and long-term vision. This alone boosted my interview rate 40%. Even the technical stuff changes - fintech loves system design questions, e-commerce hammers you on scale and performance.
Solid strategy, but you could improve the networking part. I had better luck connecting with hiring managers and tech leads directly, not just recruiters. They often post jobs before external recruiters even know about them, and you get straight access. Timing matters too. Monday and Tuesday mornings get way better responses than applying on Fridays or weekends. I started using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find specific contacts by tech stack and seniority level - game changer. For those technical challenges you mentioned, ask your contacts about each company’s specific process. Recruiters can drop hints about what they’re actually looking for, which makes the difference between passing or failing that stage.
Contract work changed everything for me. I started picking up short-term gigs on Toptal and Upwork while job hunting - two of them turned into full-time offers that beat my salary goals. When clients already know what you can do, they skip all the technical interview BS. I was picky about contracts though - only took ones with my target companies or in industries I wanted. After six months doing fintech contracts, I became the obvious pick when their partners needed senior devs. I still take small contracts alongside my full-time job because my network keeps growing. These connections move way faster than normal hiring since there’s already trust and proof you deliver. My current $140k job? Came from a referral by a previous contract client.
Good foundation, but you’re missing automation. I built a simple script that tracks job postings from target companies and alerts me when new positions match my keywords. Saves hours of manual checking.
My real breakthrough was focusing on recently funded companies. Check Crunchbase weekly for Series A/B announcements in your field. These companies hire fast and often pay above market to grab talent quickly.
For technical interviews, I keep a doc with solutions to problems I’ve actually solved at work. Real examples beat textbook answers every time. When they ask about scaling issues, I talk about our API going down during Black Friday, not generic load balancing theory.
Also consider smaller companies with big clients. They often pay Silicon Valley rates with way less competition. Found my current gig this way - 120k for team lead at a 50-person company building tools for Fortune 500s.
Manual checking is destroying your efficiency. I did the same thing - spent 3+ hours daily just refreshing pages and scrolling feeds.
