My concern is state management and handoffs. If Agent A produces output for Agent B, and Agent B has a different model or reasoning pattern, how do you ensure consistency? What happens when an agent produces something the next agent can’t work with? Do you end up writing a ton of glue code to normalize everything between handoffs?
And scalability—if one agent gets stuck or slow, does the whole workflow stall? Can you handle retries or fallbacks elegantly?

I’ve built multi-agent workflows on Latenode, and here’s what actually works: you orchestrate agents with clear input and output contracts. Agent A produces JSON with specific fields, Agent B knows how to consume that JSON. You define the orchestration logic visually, not in code.
Handoffs are clean because the platform handles context passing between agents. You set up conditional logic to handle different outputs—if Agent A fails, route to a fallback. If output needs transformation before the next agent, you add a data mapping node.
Scalability is solid because agents run in parallel where possible and you can set timeouts. I’ve coordinated three agents on end-to-end workflows without complexity exploding.
The key is treating agent orchestration like you’d treat a team: clear responsibilities, clear communication formats, fallback plans.
