Never knew about this gesture until now. Been using Gmail for years and always went through the tedious menu navigation to switch accounts. Just tested it on my Android phone and it works perfectly. The swipe motion feels much more natural than tapping through multiple screens. What surprised me most is how responsive it is - almost instantaneous compared to the regular method which sometimes takes a few seconds to load the account list.
