As of October 6th, vendors have yet to receive payments from Rapid API for this month. Despite numerous inquiries regarding this issue, there has been no response. It seems that payments owed to vendors prior to the Nokia acquisition are not being processed.
I’ve seen this kind of issue go down when companies change hands. Mergers can be complex, and financial discrepancies often slip through in the shuffle. One thing that worked for me in the past was attending any webinars, press releases, or updates that the parent company puts out. They sometimes provide insights into expected timelines for resolving such issues or mention key contact points for vendor concerns. Moreover, try to network with other vendors involved to see if others are in the same boat and whether a collective approach might speed things up.
I’ve experienced similar disruptions in the past whenever there’s a merger or acquisition involving large companies—it’s often the result of new systems and processes being implemented, which can cause temporary delays. In my dealings with corporate mergers, transitioning the payment systems usually takes some time, especially if they decide to overhaul them completely. During such times, reaching out to both the old and new company’s financial departments can sometimes yield more information than general inquiries. Patience is essential, but do have all contractual agreements on hand in case disputes arise.
