Resolving Data Sync Issues Between HubSpot and Outreach

Hi everyone! I’m reaching out because we are facing challenges with our integration of HubSpot and Outreach through Data Sync. There have been persistent sync errors, and the team mentions that this has been an issue for some time. It seems the connection between these two tools isn’t operating as it should. I would like to hear if anyone else has encountered similar problems with this integration and if you have any suggestions or solutions that could help us resolve it. Thank you!

Ugh, same thing happened to us! First check your HubSpot permissions - Outreach sometimes can’t access certain contact properties. Also make sure both systems are using the latest API versions. Our sync broke when HubSpot updated their API but Outreach was still running the old one.

We had the same sync issues a few months back. Turned out it was data formatting problems between platforms. Our contact records had mismatched date formats and missing required fields, so the sync kept failing. We fixed it by cleaning up the HubSpot database first and filling in all the mandatory fields. Also found out our sync frequency was way too high - multiple updates at once were creating conflicts. Once we dialed back how often it synced and added proper data validation, everything ran smooth. Check your API rate limits too - hitting those can cause weird sync failures.

i totally feel you! had the same thing happen with hubspot-outreach. turned out our field mappings were messed up and some custom fields didn’t work together. checking error logs helped a ton! if that fails, try unlinking and linking the integration again. that did the trick for us.

Dealt with this same nightmare six months ago. Our problem was duplicate contacts in both systems. HubSpot kept trying to sync contacts that already existed in Outreach but with different info, which broke the sync every time. Fixed it by cleaning up duplicates in both platforms first, then running the sync again. Also found out some contact fields had different character limits between the two systems - longer text got cut off and caused errors. Check your sync logs first though. They’ll show you exactly which records are failing and why. The fix is usually easier than you’d expect.
