Seeking affordable email software for large database cleanup and outreach

Hey folks,

I’m in a bit of a pickle with our clinic’s email setup. We’ve got this massive list of 15k contacts that’s been kicking around for ages. Now we need to send out a few emails about a new thing we’re doing, but also want to tidy up our records.

The main issues:

  • Our current system (won’t name names) is way too pricey for this many contacts
  • We need to make sure we’ve got proper permission to keep emailing people
  • It’d be great if we could move the updated info to our regular CRM afterward

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What worked for you? I’m thinking about trying out some of the cheaper email tools out there, but I’m not sure which ones play nice with other systems.

Any tips on cleaning up old contact lists would be super helpful too. Thanks a bunch!

Have you considered using Sendinblue? It’s a cost-effective solution that might suit your needs. They offer reasonable pricing for large contact lists and include tools for list cleaning and segmentation.

One approach for cleaning your database is to run a re-opt-in campaign. Send an email asking contacts to confirm their interest in receiving updates. This helps ensure compliance and improves engagement rates.

Sendinblue integrates with many CRMs, making it easier to sync your updated contact information. They also provide detailed analytics, which can help you understand your audience better and refine your outreach strategy.

Remember to clearly document consent and maintain proper records. This is crucial for both legal compliance and maintaining good relationships with your contacts.

I’ve been in a similar situation with a non-profit I volunteer for. We ended up using MailChimp for our cleanup and outreach. It’s pretty affordable for large lists and even offers a decent free tier to start with.

For cleaning up the list, we ran a re-engagement campaign by sending a series of emails asking contacts to confirm if they still wanted to receive information from us. This approach helped separate active subscribers from inactive ones.

MailChimp also offers some basic list cleaning tools to remove duplicates and fix formatting issues. The integration with various CRMs is straightforward, so moving updated data is hassle-free. Just be sure to document consent carefully, as it’s both best practice and often legally required.

hey charlielion22, i tried mailerlite for a similar cleanup. it’s budget-friendly, verifying emails and dropping dupes while syncing with most crms. a quick re-confirm email can rinse out inactive subs. best of luck!
