Should I choose Sketch or Figma for UI design projects?

I’m trying to decide between two popular design tools and need some guidance. I’ve heard good things about both Sketch and Figma but I’m not sure which one would work better for my design workflow. Can someone explain the main differences between these two applications? I’m particularly interested in knowing which tool offers better features for creating user interfaces and prototypes. What are the pros and cons of each platform? I’d also like to understand which one might be more suitable for beginners who are just starting out in digital design. Any recommendations based on real experience would be really helpful.

Figma is generally the preferred option for UI design due to its emphasis on collaboration features. It allows multiple users to edit in real time, which can streamline the workflow between designers and developers, eliminating the hassle of file exchanges associated with Sketch. While Sketch offers a robust plugin ecosystem and is known for its polished interface for intricate designs, Figma’s user-friendly approach to prototyping makes it more suitable for those who are new to digital design.

i think sketch is kinda old now, especially since it only works on mac. Figma is way more flexbile since you can use it anywhere. plus, the free tier is really good. sketch makes you pay for a lot more stuff, which kinda sucks.
