Hello everyone! I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro with just 128GB of storage, and I’m quickly running out of space. I currently have 100GB on Google Drive, but I’m considering whether I should switch to iCloud. The thing is, I’m not fully integrated into the Apple ecosystem; I only have the iPhone and AirPods Pro 2. What would you recommend? Is iCloud a better choice for my needs, or should I stick with Google Drive? I’d appreciate your thoughts on this!
honestly, stick with google drive. you’re only using iphone and airpods, so you’re not really deep in the apple ecosystem. switching would mess up your current setup, and google drive works better with other services anyway. icloud’s sync can be pretty buggy too.
I switched from iCloud to Google Drive and never looked back. iCloud’s web interface lacks usability and is poorly organized compared to Google Drive. You’re already comfortable with Google’s ecosystem and 100GB suits your needs—why change? The integration benefits of iCloud are significant only if you own multiple Apple devices. With just an iPhone, accessing files through apps is straightforward, and Google Drive manages that effectively. Avoid the hassle of migrating and potential compatibility issues down the line.
Stick with Google Drive. I switched to iCloud when I only had an iPhone and regretted it. iCloud’s a pain when you need files on non-Apple devices or want to share with people who don’t use Apple stuff. Google Drive works way better across platforms and has better sharing. You’re already paying for 100GB and know how it works - why change? iCloud’s great when you’ve got multiple Apple devices syncing together, but with just an iPhone you won’t see those benefits. Skip the migration headache and stick with what works.
