I was having major issues with Twitch not loading properly or streams buffering constantly. After trying different solutions, I found something that actually works.

Get a browser extension that lets you change your user agent and switch it to Windows Firefox 33. This fixed all my streaming problems instantly.

Here’s the step by step process:

1. Install any user agent switching extension from your browser store
2. Open the extension settings
3. Look for “Permanent Spoof List” or “Whitelist” option
4. Add these details:
   • Website: twitch.tv
   • User Agent: Windows Firefox 33
5. Save the settings

Had this same problem three weeks ago - drove me crazy. Started right after Chrome updated. Tried the usual fixes like turning off hardware acceleration and clearing cookies, but nothing worked. Finally found a solution using Chrome’s dev tools instead of an extension. Hit F12, click the three dots, go to More Tools > Network Conditions. You can change the user agent there without installing anything. The Firefox 33 string works perfectly - streams load instantly and no more quality drops during peak hours.
