Great list! I migrated our small company off expensive SaaS and want to add a few more options. OpenProject rocks for project management - we ditched Asana and never looked back. The Gantt charts and time tracking work really well. For customer support, try Zammad. It handles tickets great, but setup’s a pain. Here’s what I learned the hard way: these open source tools save serious money, but you’ll spend time on setup and maintenance. Documentation quality’s all over the place, so test everything before you migrate.

Been running mostly open source for three years now and wanted to mention a couple gems you missed. For project management, definitely check out Focalboard - it’s like Trello but way more flexible with custom properties. Also GitLab’s issue tracking is surprisingly good if you’re already using it for code. Don’t migrate everything at once. Start with non-critical tools first because some of these have quirks that take time to work around. Budget for additional server costs too - hosting all these tools adds up quick, though it’s still cheaper than SaaS subscriptions. The maintenance overhead is real but manageable if you pick stable projects with active communities.
I’ve done this switch multiple times at different companies. Quick tip - try Odoo instead of ERPNext for CRM. ERPNext works fine, but Odoo’s sales pipeline management is way better.
For project management, Linear just went open source and destroys everything else. We ditched Jira for it and actually saw productivity jump. The UI is cleaner and faster.
Customer support - check out FreeScout along with Zammad. Much easier to deploy and maintain.
Big warning I learned the hard way - always read the license first. Some “open source” tools restrict commercial use or make you pay for key features. AGPL stuff gets messy if you modify code.
Run hosting numbers too. We expected huge savings ditching SaaS but ended up paying $400/month on AWS for reliable hosting. Still cheaper than SaaS but not by much.
