Will Spotify lose its market dominance soon?

I keep seeing more and more complaints about Spotify everywhere I look. There’s a bunch of stuff happening that makes people angry:

• Some musicians like King Gizzard are removing their songs from the service
• The company’s boss is putting money into weapon drone companies
• They pay artists way less than Apple Music or other competitors
• They’re using artificial intelligence to make fake music and save money
• Subscription costs keep going up but sound quality stays bad
• In Britain they might make you show ID just to hear songs with swearing

I’m noticing way more people talking about switching to Bandcamp, Apple Music, or even buying vinyl records again. The hate seems bigger than before. Do you think all this anger will actually hurt Spotify’s business or is it just internet noise that won’t matter?

honestly, i think most folks won’t switch from spotify. they’re still the kings of music streaming. even with all these complaints, their user base probably won’t drop much. switching is a hassle - you end up losing all your saved tracks. their discovery features are too good to part with!
