Hey everyone,
I’m really stressed about the future of my career because of AI tools getting better at coding. I’m 26 and have been working as a developer for about 3 years now. I see companies using AI to write code and some places are already cutting jobs.
My background is mostly in software development and embedded systems. But now I’m wondering if I should switch to something else entirely. It feels like AI can already handle a lot of basic programming tasks and it’s only getting smarter.
What are you all thinking about this? Should I try to learn new skills that work with AI instead of competing against it? Or maybe move into a completely different field?
I don’t want to do trades like construction or electrical work. But I’m open to other tech areas that might be safer from automation. Any ideas on what careers will still need humans even when AI gets really good?
