Zapier automation help needed - connecting multiple apps for data transfer

Hey everyone! I’m working on setting up some Zapier workflows and could use some guidance. I’m pretty new to this automation stuff so please bear with me.

I need to create automated data transfers between several platforms we use at work: Flex Rental Solutions, Fleetio, Lasso, and Google Sheets. Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish:

What’s working so far:

  • Successfully set up Flex to Google Sheets transfer using a filtered calendar view

What I’m stuck on:

  1. Getting data from Flex into Fleetio
  2. Pulling information from Lasso into Fleetio

For the Lasso integration, I think I need Zapier to grab an ID when new items get added to a list, then use that ID in an API call to fetch the full details. Not sure if this approach makes sense though.

For Fleetio, I’m thinking about using venue names from Flex to create new events, then somehow updating those events with additional data. The tricky part is making sure Zapier updates the correct event.

Has anyone worked with similar multi-app workflows? Any tips on handling API calls in Zapier or managing data updates across different platforms would be awesome.
