2024's Top Rap Tracks on Spotify: The Most Streamed 100

Hey guys, I just found this crazy list of the most popular rap songs on Spotify for 2024. It’s wild to see how many streams these tracks are getting!

Kendrick Lamar is killing it with ‘Not Like Us’ at almost a billion streams. And that ¥$ track ‘CARNIVAL’ with Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti is blowing up too.

I noticed some interesting trends:

  • Kendrick, ¥$, Future x Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, and Tyler, the Creator have the most songs on the list
  • Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and Central Cee show up as features a lot
  • There are some new names I didn’t expect like Hanumankind and Jordan Adetunji

It’s cool to see how the rap game is changing. Some big names from last year didn’t make it this time, but we’ve got fresh talent coming in.

What do you guys think about this list? Any surprises or songs you think should be higher? Let me know!

yo that list is fire! :fire: kendrick always brings heat. surprised to see hanumankind up there tho, he’s blowin up outta nowhere. kinda shocked drake ain’t higher tbh. feels like the game’s shiftin. wonder if old heads gonna be mad bout the new sound dominating lol. wat yall think is gonna be the biggest banger by years end?

Man, that list is something else. I’ve been deep in the rap game for years, and it’s wild to see how it’s evolving. Kendrick’s dominance doesn’t surprise me one bit - dude’s been consistent since day one. What’s really catching my eye is the rise of artists like ¥$ and Hanumankind. It’s like the whole landscape is shifting under our feet.

I remember when trap was just coming up, and now it’s everywhere on this list. It’s interesting to see how regional sounds are blending together too. You’ve got UK artists like Central Cee popping up alongside Atlanta heavyweights.

One thing that’s bugging me though - where are the female rappers at? Feels like they’re underrepresented here. I’d love to see more diversity in the top spots.

Curious to see how this list might change by the end of the year. Betting we’ll see some surprise hits climb up those ranks. The streaming game is unpredictable like that.

Interesting list, no doubt. The streaming numbers are staggering, but I’m not entirely sold on them being the best measure of quality. Kendrick’s dominance is well-deserved, but I’m more intrigued by the newcomers like Hanumankind making waves. It’s a sign the industry’s evolving.

What’s striking is the absence of some veteran acts. The rap landscape is clearly shifting towards a new sound, which is both exciting and potentially concerning for the genre’s diversity. I’m particularly keen to see how this impacts lyricism and storytelling in hip-hop moving forward.

The prevalence of features is another noteworthy trend. It seems collaboration is key in today’s market. I wonder if this is driven by artistic choices or streaming algorithms. Either way, it’s reshaping how artists approach their craft.

yo this list is crazy! :fire: kendrick killin it no surprise. but where the ladies at tho? need more girl power up in there fr. hanumankind comin outta left field, gotta peep his tracks. wonder if we gonna see more international artists climbin the charts soon. wat yall think bout the collabs? seems like everybody teamin up these days
