I just read something pretty wild and wanted to get your thoughts. Apparently, some guy named Jasper Zhang is saying that AI programs are now smart enough to rent GPUs on their own and even do AI development using PyTorch. Is this for real?
I mean, I know AI has come a long way, but this seems like a huge leap. Can AI really handle complex tasks like renting computer hardware and writing code without human input? How would that even work?
If it’s true, what does this mean for the future of AI and software development? Could we see AI programs taking over more and more tasks that used to require human developers?

I work in cloud infrastructure, and this claim sounds pretty far-fetched to me. Leasing GPUs involves complex processes like account management, budgeting, and navigating provider-specific APIs. Even experienced engineers sometimes struggle with these tasks.
As for autonomous PyTorch coding, while we have impressive code completion tools, creating full AI systems requires deep understanding of algorithms, architecture design, and debugging skills. Current AI simply isn’t at that level yet.

lol sounds like sci-fi to me. ai cant even tie its own shoelaces yet, let alone rent gpus n code pytorch. jasper zhang prob smokin somethin good 
but fr tho, we still got a loooong way to go b4 ai can do that kinda complex stuff on its own. maybe in like 50 yrs or smth
