Airtable automation scripts failing - should I switch to Zapier or Integromat instead?

Hi everyone! I hope things are going great for you all. I created a fairly complicated database setup using multiple automation scripts in Airtable. Everything was running smoothly just a few days back. But now I’m having major problems. The automated workflows are not completing their tasks properly and it’s taking forever for them to process the data I need. I’m considering moving my whole setup over to Zapier since it seems to handle complex automations better. The downside is that rebuilding everything from scratch will be a huge time investment. Has anyone else experienced similar reliability issues with Airtable’s automation features? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Thanks for any advice!

Hold up - check a few things before you jump ship. Airtable automations get sluggish when they hit rate limits or process too much data at once. I had the same problem last year with random timeouts. Turns out I had too many triggers firing simultaneously and it overwhelmed everything. Space out your automations or break complex scripts into smaller pieces. Also check if you’re hitting usage limits on your plan. Yeah, Zapier handles complex workflows better, but migration’s expensive if this is just a temporary glitch. Try pausing all automations for a day, then reactivate them one by one - you’ll spot which script’s causing the bottleneck.
