Anyone tried Figma's new website feature?

Hey everyone! I’m super curious about the new Figma Sites thing they just announced. I’ve been using Framer to turn my Figma designs into websites, but it’s been a pain to rebuild everything from scratch.

I’m wondering if any of you have given Figma Sites a shot yet. How user-friendly is it for someone who doesn’t know web coding? Does it have any cool SEO stuff built in?

I’m really hoping it’s easier than what I’ve been doing. The idea of updating my site with just one click sounds amazing. If you’ve tried it out, I’d love to hear what you think! Is it as good as it sounds? Any tips or things to watch out for?

Thanks in advance for any info you can share. I’m excited to hear about your experiences!

I’ve been experimenting with Figma Sites for about a week now, and it’s definitely promising. The transition from design to website is smoother than I expected, especially for someone like me who’s not a coding expert.

One standout feature is the component library. It’s a real time-saver, allowing you to reuse elements across pages effortlessly. However, I did notice some limitations in customization options compared to more specialized web building tools.

Performance-wise, it’s pretty solid, although I’ve encountered a few minor bugs when working with complex animations. Nothing deal-breaking, but worth keeping in mind.

As for SEO, it covers the basics, but don’t expect advanced features. You’ll likely need additional tools for serious optimization.

Overall, it’s a strong tool for designers looking to quickly prototype or launch simple sites. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve if you’re used to other platforms.

I’ve actually been using Figma Sites for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer for my workflow. As someone who’s not particularly versed in web coding, I found the learning curve surprisingly gentle. The interface is intuitive, and it integrates seamlessly with existing Figma designs.

One thing that really impressed me was how it handles responsive design. You can easily create different layouts for various screen sizes without starting from scratch each time. This alone has saved me hours of work.

Regarding SEO, while it does offer some basic optimization features, it’s not as comprehensive as dedicated SEO tools. You might want to supplement it with other solutions if SEO is a major priority for your project.

The one-click updates are indeed as convenient as they sound. It’s a huge relief not having to manually implement changes across multiple pages.

My advice would be to start with a small project to get familiar with the system. Also, keep an eye on your image sizes - I noticed performance issues when I went overboard with high-res images. Overall, though, it’s been a solid addition to my toolkit.

tried it out last week. pretty cool for quick prototypes! interface is intuitive, even for non-coders. SEO stuff is basic tho, might need extra tools. responsive design works well, but had some glitches with complex animations. definitely faster than rebuilding from scratch. worth a shot if ur into streamlining ur workflow!
