Are there risks in streaming films from unknown Google Drive sources?

Hey everyone, I’m kinda worried about this movie link I got. It’s on Google Drive, but I don’t know who shared it. I heard Google checks for bad stuff, but I’m not sure how safe it is to just hit play without downloading.

Is it a big deal if I watch it? And what if I want to check the link on VirusTotal first? Can I get in trouble just by copying the link?

I know it might sound silly, but I really don’t want to mess up my computer. Has anyone done this before? What do you guys think about watching stuff from random Google Drive links?

Thanks for any advice!

hey man, i’ve streamed from gdrive links b4. it’s usually fine but ya never kno. google’s pretty good at catching viruses n stuff. if ur worried, maybe try using a virtual machine or smthn. just don’t download anything sketchy. at the end of the day, it’s ur call. stay safe bro!

While Google Drive itself is generally secure, streaming from unknown sources always carries some risk. It’s not just about viruses; there could be copyright issues or inappropriate content. Checking the link on VirusTotal is a good precaution, but it’s not foolproof. Consider using a separate device or browser you don’t normally use for important tasks. Remember, even if the stream seems safe, the content might be illegally distributed. Ultimately, it’s best to stick to legitimate streaming services to avoid potential legal and security complications.
