I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind recently.
I wrote my university assignment completely on my own and spent days researching, organizing my sources, and revising the final draft. Before submitting it, I decided to check it with a few AI detectors just to see how my paper would score.
The surprising part was that every detector gave me a different result.
One suggested my essay was almost entirely human-written, while another flagged a much larger portion as AI-generated. It made me realize how different these tools can be, even when analyzing the exact same document.
While searching for more consistent options, I came across Winston AI. From what I’ve read, it’s one of the more popular AI detectors for academic writing because it provides detailed reports instead of only showing a single AI percentage. I’m considering using it as my primary checker before submitting future assignments.
That said, I also understand that no AI detector is perfect, and I don’t think any single score should be treated as definitive proof.
My goal isn’t to bypass AI detection. I simply want to avoid situations where genuine work is misunderstood because different platforms produce conflicting results.
