Beware of Zapier's strict refund policy

Hey everyone, I want to share my experience with Zapier’s refund policy. I messed up and forgot to cancel my subscription. When I tried to get a refund, I found out they changed their policy last August. Now they don’t give refunds at all.

I think this is really unfair. It’s 2025, and most companies are more flexible. It’s not like refunding costs them much. This makes me wonder if Zapier even cares about its users anymore.

To make things worse, I’m from Australia. The exchange rate is terrible right now, so I’m losing even more money.

Just wanted to warn you all. Be careful with your Zapier subscriptions. They’re not very understanding when it comes to refunds. Has anyone else had similar issues with them?

man, zapier really bites sometimes. i had a refund mess with zilch help from support. try messaging them on twitter, might stir things up? also, check out alternatives like n8n or make. or else get on top of your renewals next time!

I can relate to your frustration with Zapier’s refund policy. While it’s not uncommon for SaaS companies to have strict policies, it does seem rather inflexible in today’s market. Have you tried escalating your case to a manager or reaching out via social media? Sometimes companies are more responsive when issues are made public. As for alternatives, I’ve found Integromat (now Make) to be quite good and more cost-effective, especially for international users. They offer a decent free tier too, which might be worth exploring if you’re looking to switch. Always worth setting calendar reminders for subscriptions to avoid these situations in the future.

I’ve been using Zapier for years, and I’ve noticed their customer-friendly approach has definitely taken a nosedive lately. It’s a shame because they used to be so good. Have you considered setting up a chargeback through your bank? It’s a bit of a nuclear option, but sometimes it’s the only way to get these companies to listen.

As for alternatives, I’ve recently switched to Pipedream for most of my automation needs. It’s got a bit of a learning curve, but the pricing is way more reasonable, especially for us international users dealing with exchange rates. Plus, their support actually seems to give a damn.

Just remember, whatever service you end up using, always set those calendar reminders. These companies count on us forgetting about renewals. Lesson learned the hard way, right?
