Call of Duty Confirms Implementation of AI-Created Game Elements

Has anyone else heard about this recent announcement from Call of Duty developers?

I just came across news that the franchise has officially acknowledged using artificial intelligence to generate certain assets in their games. This seems like a pretty big shift in how major gaming studios are approaching content creation.

I’m curious what everyone thinks about this development. On one hand, AI tools could help speed up production and maybe allow for more creative possibilities. But I’m also wondering if this might affect the quality or uniqueness of the game experience.

Does anyone know which specific types of assets they’re talking about? Are we looking at textures, character models, environments, or something else entirely? And how do you think this will impact the gaming industry as a whole?

I’d love to hear different perspectives on whether this is a positive step forward or if there are concerns we should be thinking about.

honestly, not shocked they’re jumping on the AI train. AAA studios have been dabbling in this for a while. as long as gameplay remains strong, how they create assets doesn’t bother me. maybe it’ll let them spend more time on what really matters, instead of getting lost in nitty-gritty details.
