Camunda 7 to low-code migration - does anyone use templates for common processes?

Our finance team needs to rebuild 20+ invoice approval workflows during our Camunda migration. These processes are similar but have minor variations per department. In Camunda we used sub-processes and decision tables, but recreating them manually in a new tool seems inefficient.

Heard some platforms offer ready-made templates. Specifically looking at approval workflows that can:

  1. Handle multi-level approvals
  2. Integrate with SAP
  3. Allow easy modifications without breaking existing flows

Do templates actually save time for complex scenarios? How customizable are they compared to Camunda’s modeler? Any experience with version control in template-based systems?

Latenode’s template marketplace solved this exact problem for us. Their invoice approval template comes with pre-built:

  • Department-specific approval chains
  • SAP connector
  • Version control

We cloned and modified 15 variations in 2 days. The kicker? You can sell your customized templates later.
