I’m worried about a Telegram bot called ‘Primary Assistance’ that says it can help me after I was scammed. Here’s what’s going on:
- The bot is verified but wants money to hack the scammer’s account
- First asked for $199 through Venmo or Cash App
- Now wants $101 in gift cards
- Claims the scammer called the police and they’re coming to my house
This sounds fishy to me. Has anyone dealt with this bot before? Is it legit or just another scam? I’m not sure what to do and could really use some advice from the community. Thanks for any help!
I’ve unfortunately had a run-in with a similar scam on Telegram before. Trust me, this ‘Primary Assistance’ bot is bad news. Legitimate services never ask for gift cards or threaten you with police action. That’s classic scammer behavior.
Here’s what I learned from my experience: immediately block and report the bot to Telegram. Don’t engage further or send any money. These scammers are skilled at psychological manipulation, especially when you’re already feeling vulnerable from a previous scam.
If you’re worried about the original scam, reach out to your local cybercrime unit directly. They can provide real help without charging you upfront. Stay strong and don’t let these fraudsters take advantage of you again. Remember, if something feels off, it probably is.
yo that bot sounds sketchy af. legit services dont ask for gift cards or make threats. its probs another scam trying to rip u off again. block that shit and report it to telegram asap. dont send em anything. if ur worried bout the og scam, hit up the real cops. stay safe fam
This ‘Primary Assistance’ bot is almost certainly a scam. Legitimate services don’t ask for money upfront, especially not in gift cards. The claim about police coming to your house is a scare tactic to pressure you into paying. I’ve seen similar scams before where fraudsters prey on people who’ve already been victimized.
My advice: block the bot immediately and report it to Telegram. Don’t send any money or personal information. If you’re worried about the original scam, contact your local police or cybercrime unit directly. They can provide genuine assistance without charging you. Remember, reputable organizations won’t demand payment via gift cards or threaten you with police action. Stay vigilant and trust your instincts when something seems fishy.
