Can't use Tenor GIFs in Instagram comments anymore

Hey everyone! I’ve been using Instagram for about two years now and I really love sharing GIFs in my comments. For the longest time I could use both Tenor and Giphy GIFs everywhere on the platform. But something changed recently and now I can only post Giphy GIFs in comments. The Tenor ones that I actually prefer are still available when I’m sending direct messages to people, but they just don’t show up as an option when I try to comment on posts. This is really frustrating because I think Tenor has way better GIF selection. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a setting I might have accidentally changed or is this some kind of Instagram update that removed this feature? Any help would be appreciated because I miss being able to use my favorite GIFs in comments.

totally feel ya! it’s super frustrating not having Tenor GIFs in comments. kinda makes the convo feel less fun, ya know? most updates they do rnt even announced. hope they fix it soon tho!

Same thing happened to me three months ago - thought I was losing it! Turns out Instagram changed their GIF partnerships. They cut off Tenor access for public comments but kept it for DMs. Instagram support confirmed it’s intentional, not a bug. They said something about ‘streamlining content partnerships’ but it’s obvious they want everyone using Giphy for comments. I tried everything - logging out, clearing cache, reinstalling - nothing works. Super annoying since Tenor had way better niche reactions.

This drove me nuts until I found a workaround that’s way more flexible than Instagram’s built-in options.

I set up an automation that pulls GIFs from any source I want. Found the perfect Tenor GIF? My workflow saves it automatically and makes it ready to post.

It runs in the background and syncs my favorites across platforms. No more settling for crappy Giphy reactions when Tenor has exactly what I need.

You can even customize it to grab GIFs by keywords or trending topics. Way better than waiting for Instagram to bring Tenor back.

I built mine using Latenode since it handles API connections smoothly. Takes 10 minutes to set up and works perfectly.

marcoMingle do you have a tutorial for that?
